Palm Pre Phone Creating Buzz
Palm is the company that many left for dead after failing to update its line of Treo smartphones aging. In 2008, it became fashionable to bet against the company's mobile devices. Interestingly, Palm has been the company that began in previous years smartphone mania. Palm met aging line of smartphones and stiff competition in the form of iPhone and RIM BlackBerry line of devices. The company has responded to large with the announcement of the new Palm phone earlier in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. Palm has been generating speculation since then despite not being available for pre-sale. With technology blog covering the area of mobile phone 24 / 7, it is increasingly difficult for companies to surprise the audience. Before a phone has been announced, specific and often photos were leaked online. Or no one expected much from Palm or the carrier has managed to maintain the secrecy of the PRE. Palm has introduced the webOS - a new next-generation operating system that has drawn rave reviews. It was announced in the Pre palm, the first phone to run the new operating system. The Pre Palm will not be available until sometime during the first half of 2009. Building on the success at CES, Palm has used the marketing base to continue to generate buzz around the Pre. During the first week of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, technology editor Joshua Topolski of Engadget, has appeared to offer the public a first in the new pre. The next was the Oscar, where celebrities had the chance to try the Pre. This has created many photo opportunities and continued to build buzz around the previous phone. The challenge for Palm was keep noise to a level where consumers are still excited when the first is released. With the closing of the window in the first half of 2009, the company closer to the edges of his return and all consumers will have the opportunity to buy a new phone from Palm Pre. Palm is a company left for dead but managed to provide a product Buzzworthy again. Once left for dead, Palm seems poised to compete with the likes of RIM and Apple.
