The Blackberry Storm: Cell Phone Review

The first BlackBerry stormed the scene in 1999, inaugurating a new era in electronic form "convergence" devices. Research In Motion, the BlackBerry was originally conceived as a sophisticated pager. But his native messaging system was so effective that it has received an instant cult following so that the Webster's New World College Dictionary named "BlackBerry", the word "New Year". RIM BlackBerry last generation, the storm is a serious attempt to usurp the domain victorious in the iPhone phone number of a sale. RIM Partners in the storm is Verizon, which is still recovering from his mistake to drop iPhone Steve Jobs as a vector. If Verizon is trying to make losing the iPhone, at least in the right direction Storm. The Storm has a widescreen, touch-screen interface that offers many of the same features as the iPhone, but with some improvements on the extension of touchscreen. The results of these improvements, however, are mixed. Unlike the QWERTY keyboard, the screen buttons are not able to keep pace with fast write. Classic Blackberry "browse" addicts will not be able to recite a pull messages as fast or precision. The interface of clicks is the result of an idea RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis' to separate the navigation of the confirmation of a telephone interface. But it takes a considerable amount of practice to get used to Pressing the touch screen until a "click" event, in sharp contrast with what happens interactivity receives from the iPhone or the LG Vu. Furthermore, it appears highlighted in blue to confirm that a particular button is active is difficult to see, simply because it was my finger on it. If you go down in history as a boo-boo design or a flat-out Botch, is seen.Last and perhaps less, the storm also lacks the functions of assistant Spelling predictor of the iPhone. If you are a lazy spelling, the storm does not offer much of a safety net. HTML Web browser makes perfect and fast, with the context sensitive drag to move around a particular Web page. The only complaint is that the form fields are a little complicated to be filled. While the browser has a high score, the lack of Wi-Fi phone is a nice head scratch. If Verizon EV DO coverage is excellent, there is little situations where Wi-Fi could be handy.Blackberry get substantial credit for the robust design, the phone industry. The reward for leaving the board and key brand touch-scroll wheel is protected by a simple, flat glass facades 3.25 inches, which is undoubtedly inspired by the Es-know-what. Four keys of the BlackBerry family are at the bottom of the phone: Phone, Menu, Back, and End / Power. The phone also comes with a USB key and head 3.5 mm mini phone jack. A possible failure of the project - is the question whether the construction is more metal to plastic. The storm was located on the second, even if not hand. All feels like very solid at all, "BlackBerry" connoisseurs will miss the tactile keyboard and trackball. However, the flat screen, click on this technology for smartphones, along with the excellent coverage from Verizon will keep the RIM BlackBerry and well positioned in phone calls.
